Grabbing the Long Tail for Content Marketing Success
We worked with this client in the highly competitive legal niche: trademark registration.
The goal of our content marketing campaign was to establish the client as an expert resource in his industry as well as to capture and brand his legal service to users earlier in the marketing funnel.
By focusing on question-type queries very commonly searched for in Google, we were able to produce high quality pieces of content tailored to answer these questions. We did so based on the client’s input and review, which caused the content to quickly rank high in the search results..
We further worked with the client, who already maintained a well-known reputation in his industry, to establish his expertise in this vertical with Google by making use of Google Authorship and tying in his content to his online persona. Visually this resulted in his face appearing in the search results, resulting in more visits and a higher click-through-rate, but more importantly, it ties him to the industry as an expert in his niche. This change is attributed to his online profile and can now be applied to all future articles he authors on his own site, or any other site that supports Google Authorship.
